You just need four ingredients and about as many minutes to prep. These are perfect for peak strawberry season (which is about now!). We are all about eating what’s in season. You’ll notice how much more flavorful produce is in its rightful season. It’s cheaper—this pint of organic strawberries was $2.55 at our local Aldi this month!
If you’re not meal prepping at, we totally recommend starting with breakfast. With three kids, if you start off the day on a crazy note, you may stay there 🤪;). It’s just one way we maintain a bit of sanity ‘round here.
The input-output here is way off balance. It’s crazy how good these overnight oats taste compared to the amount of work they take. Here we go. Don’t blink… you may miss it all ;).

Grab your jars. We really love using half-pint (wide-mouth) Mason jars here. This recipe will make 5 jars. If you’re prepping for one, you’re set for the week! Scale up or down as needed. You’ll need 1/2 cup of old-fashioned oats for each jar.

Next, scoop two tablespoons of vanilla yogurt on top. Non-dairy is totally fine. We like the Silk unsweetened almond milk yogurt, but you’ll probably need something to add some sweetness.
Strawberries join the party next. I usually cut into quarters.
Finally, pour in enough milk to cover the oats (and a bit more). I typically add about 2/3 cup of milk. Any milk will do.

Cover, shake and refrigerate. Sing it like a jingle for each jar. Cover, shake and refrigerate. Keep going.
That’s it! Refrigerate overnight. Heat about 30-40 seconds and add a little honey or maple syrup if you you like it sweeeeet. 🙂

Something Extra Before You Leave
Bonus: I always double up on oats/yogurt prep. Just double your jars in the assembly line. Fill the other half with 1/2 cup of yogurt while you’re scooping in oats and top with strawberries. Boom!

Double breakfasts or prepped snacks for the win!
