If you can easily tell the difference between brachiosaurus, a parasaurolophus, and an ankylosaurus, you may have a dino-lover in your life. I can relate. A few months ago, my (then) four-year-year old called me out for mixing up a deinosuchus and deinonychus when reading a book. FYI, they are VERY different. He’s serious about his classifications.
As you can imagine, any time a birthday or Christmas comes around, it’s dino-everything requests, from Legos to books and stuffed animals, even his socks and underwear are dino-related. If you can’t possibly think of another dinosaur gift idea to present to your own dino-lover, we have you covered. Read on for the ultimate guide for dinosaur gift ideas.

Fisher-Price Imaginext Jurassic World T-Rex
This dino is at the top of our wish list this year. Last year, at $99, it was a bit too pricey for Santa and his helpers. I’ve already seen it for HALF that price this year. (Walmart). Santa will be so happy.
Dino Eggs
These dino eggs are a HUGE hit for dinosaur lovers. My son got these as a birthday gift this year, and they were so fun to “excavate”. He got to do one a day for a couple of weeks, and then had the little dinos to play with after they were all broken up. They also come with cards for extra entertainment. We highly recommend this as a dinosaur gift idea.
Soft-touch T-Rex
We love these giant soft-touch dinos because A. they cause way fewer injuries when stepped on…. and B. you can crash and smash them into way more things without causing bodily and/or property damage (mostly!)
Mini Dinos
No dinosaur collection is complete without a million of these laying around! We like to make a dino dig site with play sand and a shallow plastic storage bin and some tools for hours of outdoor play.
Dino Matching Game
Dino Lego Set
T-Rex Vs. Dino-Mech Lego Battle
Lego Creator 3 in 1 Dinosaur
Lego Duplo Jurassic World
This is a great set for a budding builder. The Duplo pieces are bigger than traditional LEGOs, so it’s easier for younger kids to assemble.
Stuffed Dinosaurs
We love these Wild Republic stuffed dinos. They are really well-made, well-priced, and there are several different dinosaurs available. We love “blue brach-y” and the ankylosaurus.
Dinosaur Bean Bag Cover
This is on our list this year! It says it holds about 150 small stuffed animals, 90 medium stuffed animals or 35 large stuffed animals or 100 ml (3.5 cubic ft) beans. I love the idea for stuffed animal storage!
Jurassic World Chomp ‘n Roar Mask Velociraptor
This raptor head is so fun! A little on the creepy side, but can you imagine how much fun it would be to rock this mask?
Dinosaur Gift Ideas: Dino books
–Rappy Goes to the Supermarket
We first saw Rappy books at the library. There are several in the series, including Rappy Goes To School and Rappy Goes to the Library. We love that they rhyme, so you can bust out your best “rapping” skills.
–Danny and the Dinosaur series
We love the Magic Tree House series! These are great beginner chapter books. There are pictures/illustrations mixed in, so they are age-appropriate for younger kids with big imaginations as well.
We love all the Pete the Cat books (and the soundtrack on Amazon Music!!) but this is definitely one of our favorites, for obvious reasons. 🙂
–Totally Roarsome Dinosaur Activities
Who doesn’t love a good toddler belly laugh? This book is on our wishlist for dinosaur gift ideas this year for sure!
Uno Attack Jurassic World Game
Qurious Dinos STEM Card Game
It’s a game of memory, match, letter recognition and word building for the whole family. 62 laminated, double-sided play cards, graphic rules, word scorecards, plus 10 BONUS dino stickers in a collector travel tin.
Dinosaur Stocking Stuffer Gift Ideas
Jurassic World Uno
Dinosaur Wallet
My 5-year-old recently asked for a wallet…I know. Shocker, he specifically asked for a dinosaur wallet. Of course, Amazon stocks these! (They have about 20 different options, so if you have a mermaid, unicorn, superhero, etc. fan, they have you covered.
Scented Plush Dino Keychains
Make-A-Face Dino Stickers
We ordered some of these stickers for a dino-themed birthday party this year, and they were a hit! They are great to keep in the diaper bag or car for entertainment on a road trip, doctor’s appointment, restaurant, etc.
Dino Jammies
The dino clothing options are endless, but we particularly love dino jammies. These glow-in-the-dark ones are extra fun!
Mamasaurus Tee
Finally, if you’re a fellow Mamasaurus, YOU need one of these 🙂 Have a DINO-mite holiday season! 🙂
